Whilst living in London I've worked as a creative stylist both within costume design and art department for more than twenty five years. More recently, I’ve gravitated towards focusing on art department roles as set stylist & designer, buying & hiring props as well as wardrobe, overseeing all the facets within those roles.
Editorial photo shoots and stills advertising led to being on production crew for video / film & TV ad campaigns commissioned by leading brands & ad agencies. As costume designer I’ve worked on music promos, styling bands and designing costumes for tours, and ‘Boxed’, a feature length film made on location in Ireland. I’ve found that being versatile and adaptable means that the job is always interesting, being a part of the team process & applying my creativity in a variety of ways towards a successful end goal is what motivates me.
With a passion for the aesthetic in film, photography, fashion and interiors my career took off whilst I was studying for my MA in graphic communication design at Central Saint Martins, London. My education encouraged me to freely explore art direction in these areas and I began styling and directing imagery, I quickly discovered that this was a role that incorporates all of my visual skills and interests without being restricted to one medium.
